On November 30th, Liu Zheng, the Party Secretary and Chairman of DSIC, met with Song Baowei, the Vice President of Northwest Polytechnic University (NWPU) at the group headquarters. The two sides exchanged views on promoting the integration of industry, education and research, and also on deepening all-round cooperation between the university and the enterprise. 

Liu Zheng pointed out that the NWPU has distinctive characteristics in running the school, and has made great contributions to the development of China's aerospace, navigation and science and technology industry of national defense over the years; in particular, the specialty of underwater weapon plays an irreplaceable role in the modernization construction of China's naval equipment. As a shipbuilding enterprise, DSIC and NWPU have great complementation in many professional fields. The cooperation between the two sides enjoys a good foundation, huge potential and broad prospects. It is hoped that the two sides can further deepen communication and exchanges, and carry out deeper cooperation in high-end personnel training, scientific and technological R&D and industrial development.

Song Baowei said that DSIC is a leading enterprise in China's shipbuilding industry, a major force in the construction of naval equipment, and has made outstanding contributions to the country's economic development and national defense. NWPU will consider the actual needs of DSIC, give play to its advantages, and provide higher quality services for DSIC in such fields as talent training and scientific and technological innovation.
