“Zero accident, zero defect and zero leftover!” MODEC person in charge Mr. Sateesh Nishiki commented on the topside module of FPSO MV27 constructed by DSIC Shipping Co. On the morning of Mar. 20, DSIC Shipping Co. held a ceremony for 2 million manhours of nought accident, where DSIC leaders Yu Fengping and Yin Xuelin presented the ceremony together with responsible officers from Petrobras and MODEC.
On the ceremony, DSIC GM Yu Fengping and responsible officers from Petrobras and MODEC made a speech respectively, in which Petrobras and MODEC responsible officers have sung high praise of the project as a “3-zero” one. They thanked the project team for their effort while placing hope on the forthcoming construction of MODEC project. Yu Fengping stressed in his speech, holding this ceremony of nought accident is not only an affirmation but also a motivation for safety management. He wished DSIC shipping Co. can sum up and study the good safety management idea on MV27 project unceasingly and acquire progress continually so as to extend to the whole safety management, create the safe and healthy working environment, and return to the clients with quality product and excellent service.
Always taking the DSIC safety idea of “Caring for Life and Green Shipbuilding”, DSIC Shipping Co. has paid high respect and attention to the life safety and health of their staff at the first place. After having achieved 1.5 million manhours of nought accident on this project, they are neither conceited nor rash, consistently treat the site safety management, continually implement the site safety actions, enhance the safety protection and education of staff, improve the site workmanship, set up the hotline for reporting the hidden hazards, supplemented by a series of safety rewards and punishments, which has not only raised the site controllability and safety awareness of staff, but strengthened their mutual collaboration in realizing the anticipated target of 2 million manhours of nought accident smoothly.
